Hello walkers and runners. We will once again be hosting a walk to help raise funds to support the efforts of NAMI York County. In addition to the walk this year, there will be a 5K run.We would love to have you and your family come out to support this cause on October 13. NAMI is the largest non-profit grassroots, self-help mental health organization in the nation. Founded in 1979, NAMI is in all 50 states and has over 1100 local affiliates. Working on the national, state and local levels, NAMI provides education and support; combats stigma;promots research into the causes and cures for mental illness; and advocates for adequate health insurance, housing, jobs, and services for people with mental illnesses.
Registration starts at 8:30 am and will take place in the pravilion by the batting cages behind the Ice Skating Rink. If you have not yet picked up your T-Shirt or get your welcome packet you will do so at this time. The Walk and 5K Run will then kick off at 10:00 am sharp. So make sure you get there early enough to register and get to the right walk or run location.
